Eric Henry was one of the most colourful and competitive players ever to play in the Miramichi Valley Baseball League. He is regarded as perhaps the best third baseman ever to play in the MVBL. He played for the 1947 Maritime Champion Tigers, and he was a key figure on the 1956 New Brunswick Baseball Hall of Fame Tigers. His number “5” is also retired on the left-field “Wall of Fame” at the Chatham Head ball park.
